We're pulling out all the stops for this, our first portfolio tasting in a long time. Jean Louis Chave will be making his first visit to Boston in many years, and that's just the beginning. Expect a stunning selection of wines from Europe and the US, a fine and rare wine table, and a host of exciting new wines and presenters you won't want to miss.

We'll have winemakers and representatives from France, Spain, Italy, California, Oregon and Washington.

Some Highlights:

NEW: Fine and rare wine selections have been chosen. Ask your VR salesperson for a list of items and timing (they will not last through the whole event).

Jean Louis and Erin Chave will be pouring new vintages of JL Chave Selections, as well as some Hermitage.

Rod Young, General Manager of Arizona Stronghold, will be representing the whole line of wines from this dynamic producer.

Thomas Calder has provided us with a host of exciting wines due to arrive this week. They will be on full display, if a little bottle shocked. We'll see.

Claude Jourdan, owner of Felines Jourdan, will be introducing the new vintage of the distinctive Picpoul that has made her the poster girl for the variety in Massachusetts.

Patrick Reuter from Dominio IV in Oregon will be with us, showcasing examples of his excellent Pinot noir and Viognier. He'll be debuting a new label, the 2009 Monk's Amble Pinot Noir. Don't miss it.

Guilhem Goisot returns to show his best-of-appelation Chardonnay and Sauvignon blanc from St. Bris.

Pam Harrington will be introducing new releases from Gramercy Cellars. They'll be available on pre-arrival a few weeks after the event. The opportunity to sample wines from this game-changing Washington winery is rare.

Our old friend Bill Holloran will be showing his lineup of excellent Pinot noir as well as some Riesling and a new vintage of Willamette Chardonnay. All organic and all naturally crafted.

Michele Scamacca, the man who brought us Ca'Stella Pinot Grigio, will be here with his ever popular Italian value selections.

Brian Loring is flying in from California for the event. He'll be showcasing the just-released 2011's and debuting his new Grenache and Cabernet.

Ines Oro will be joined by Maria Casanova, the owner and winemaker at Fermi Bohigas in the Anoia valley, to pour from her portfolio of stunning values from Spain.

Kathrin Davaz, from Poggio al Sole in Tuscany, will introduce her new vintage of Chianti, along with some older wines with just the right amount of cellar age.

The Rare Wine Co's Blake Murdock will have an impressive lineup touching the Loire, Hungary, Spain, Piedmont and, of course, Madeira.

John Fetzer will represent his organic winery, Saracina. He and partner Patty Rock make superb wines in the vineyards they retained following the sale of the Fetzer brand many years ago.

Molly Sweeney will be on hand to show the exceptional German terroir wines of Rudi Wiest.

Peter Wasserman from Le Serbet will be pouring both Burgundy and champagne. He doesn't get to Massachusetts all that often, so do take advantage. With his insider's perspective, he's an encyclopedia of knowledge about Burgundy.

Owen Roe's Matt Rice will be putting us back on the map with a selection of David O'Reilly classics.

Italian wine broker Nadia Galati will represent her wines. She will have Christian Werth, the consulting winemaker at Convento Cantina Muri-Gries in Alto Adige, the first winery ever to bottle Lagrein.

We'll have an Evening Land table as well, showcasing new releases, including some stellar new wines vinified at their new estate just outside Beaune in Burgundy.

And not to forget, we'll have both a French and an Italian table highlighting our own imports.
