FREE TRAINING for Housing Counselors at HUD Approved Counseling Agencies, Attorneys, and others who serve homeowners and tenants affected by Foreclosure.
This day-long training will provide 2 separate tracks of training, totaling 5.50 hours of MCLE, including 1.00 hours of Ethics credit. One track will focus on homeowners issues, including the basics of foreclosure, loan modifications, HAMP, common-interest developments and defending foreclosures. The other will focus on tenants issues, including eviction defense, Protecting Tenants in Foreclosure Act, tenant organizing and litigation strategy. There will also be plenaries addressing legislative developments and regulation and enforcement of attorney misconduct.
Event includes 5.50 hours of MCLE including 1.00 of Ethics credit, for Attorneys. Lunch will be provided.
Attendees are responsible for their travel and lodging costs.
