This year's featured activities include:
*Advent Wreaths- participants are asked to bring fresh greenery (and some to share) as we make Avent wreaths to use in our homes each Sunday during Advent. One per family.
*Nativity Characters- this year we will be making two shepherds, an angel and a sheep for our nativity sets. The nativity is on a three-year rotating basis so that after three years you have a complete nativity. One per family.
*St. Nicholas- we will be making a stand-up St. Nicholas to use on December 6th (St. Nicholas Day). The St. Nicholas craft can then be added to your Christmas tree! One per person.
*Candy Cane Ornament- children will have an opportunity to make a candy cane Christmas tree ornament, complete with a tag sharing the legend of the candy cane.
*Love Feast Candles- help our worship committee prepare the candles we use during our Moravian Love Feast on December 10th.
*Chrismons- create your own Chrismons and help us decorate the Christmas tree in Carpenter Hall.
The evening will conclude with a soup and salad dinner at 5:30 p.m. as we hear a story about Christmas. Also included at each of the stations will be a children's book that relates to the station so that parents can read with their children and take home ideas of books to include in their Christmas story library. We will provide a print-off of books for families to take home if they would like to purchase any of these books. Participants will also receive an Advent devotional and a resource of ideas on how to serve others during the holiday season.
