Join the California Center for International Trade Development (CITD) for an opportunity to showcase *qualified California consumer-oriented food/beverage products at the world's largest annual food and beverage trade show - Gulfood! This trade mission provides a limited opportunity for California specialty crop companies to exhibit products and participate in pre-arranged business-to-business meetings.

When & Where

  • 02/19/23: California Delegation arrival in Dubai
  • 02/20/23 - 02/24/23: Shared Exhibition & Business-two-Business Meetings (Gulfood Trade Show)
  • 02/25/23: California Delegation departs to U.S.A.

Qualification Criteria

(All conditions must be met)

  • Business must be based in California.
  • In business at least 1 year.
  • Have a qualified consumer-oriented food/beverage product made up of 50% or more of a California specialty crop(s), as defined by USDA, that can be exported. Check here!
  • Have the product capacity to fill and export orders.
  • Product(s) grown and/or produced in California.

CITD and CDFA will review registration information on a first come, first serve basis. Those that meet all qualification and determined eligible will be allowed to participate. DO NOT purchase airfare until approval to participate confirmation has been received.

  • A list of approved specialty crops, as defined by USDA AMS, can be found here.
  • Only California companies with products grown or produced in California can participate in this trade activity.

Registration:

  • $2,500 Registration Option #1 (limit 6 companies): 
    • Shared exhibit space with California delegation (6 companies)
    • Includes hotel accommodations and group transportation.
    • Only 1 person per company can participate in trade activity.
    • Airfare & expenses are not included.
  • $250 Registration Option #2 (limit 20 companies): 
    • Digital catalog participation available.
    • Company logo on banner.
    • Company and product information included in looping presentation.
    • CITD staff will provide booth visitors with company introductions, answer basic questions, and direct them to your company representative of choice.
