International Justice Mission is a human rights agency that brings rescue to victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. IJM lawyers, investigators and aftercare professionals work with local officials to secure immediate victim rescue and aftercare, to prosecute perpetrators and to ensure that public justice systems - police, courts and laws - effectively protect the poor.

The proceeds from this party will go directly to fund our mission of raising $4500 to rescue, protect, and rehabilitate victims of human trafficking. We will have a video running downstairs for those of you who would like to educate yourselves more on the subject.

What is THE LITTLE BLACK DRESS CHALLENGE??
Every day for the month of February 2013 I am wearing the same dress to bring awareness to the issue of human trafficking, or modern slavery. For me this is a small sacrifice- I don’t get to choose what I want to wear, what is always cute, comfortable, practical or clean. But the victims of modern slavery, both in the USA and all around the world, have no choice, no freedom, no say in whether they will be used, wronged, abused.
