“Using Real World Patient-Driven Data to Drive Person-Centered Care”
Monday, November 14, 2016
Space is VERY limited
The National Patient Advocate Foundation is pleased to announce that the next NPAF Policy Consortium will be held on Monday, November 14th, at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel in Washington, DC.
Achieving high value for patients must be the overarching goal of healthcare delivery. Aligning care with patients' needs and preferences is the primary means to achieving that goal. In our meeting we will explore the following questions:
- What is real world data from a patient perspective?
- What, and how, can we learn from patients and caregivers about how to define and build a person-centered, consumer-driven healthcare system?
- How do we identify and quantify the key person-centered benefits and values that drive people's decision making based on what matters to them?
The Fall Policy Consortium will present data that highlight patient perspectives from various disease areas to help address the questions above. In addition to the data presentations, panels will be devoted to the following topics:
- Value and Quality - Redirecting the value conversation, how do patients and families define cost and benefit?
- Consumerism in Healthcare - Meaningful patient engagement in consumer choices.
- Person-Centered Learning Systems - How to use real world data and patient reported outcomes in a rapid learning environment.
NPAF looks forward to your participation at the Fall Policy Consortium. Together, we can share ideas and information that will have great impact on the Americans we serve.
Sincerely,
Alan Balch, PhD
