*For a full refund: cancellation notice must be received on or before  March 27th, 2020.

*For a 50% refund: cancellation notice must be received between March 28th, 2020-April 10th, 2020
*There will be no refunds given after April 11th, 2020.

In the event AAREA/AASC must cancel the conference due to unforeseen circumstances, AAREA/AASC will refund the cost of registration. However, AAREA/AASC does not assume responsibility for any individual additional costs, charges, or expenses; to include, charges made for travel and lodging.

  • Michael Orcutt - Arizona attorney and specialist in real estate law will speak on litigation and liability issues facing appraisers!
  • Michael Combrink, Chief Deputy for Coconino County Assessor's Office will address the issue of short term vacation rentals - are they single family homes, commercial properties???  SB1490 (AZ Senate Bill 1490)
  • John Russell, American Society of Appraisers Director of Government Relations & Business will discuss the issues impacting collateral valuation and housing finance from a national perspective!
  • Mark Lewis, Chair of the Appraisal Qualification Board, will give us an update on national trends of people entering the appraisal profession, proposed changes in how qualifying education and experience may be obtained which will impact those entering and becoming certified, and Appraisal Foundation updates.
  • Aaron Ivey/Marshall Hamilton, DataMaster - New and improved data collection and use in the development of support for reporting of appraisal results.
  • James Heaslet - Chief of Construction & Valuation with the Veterans Administration.  An Arizona native, he will update us on new policies for trainees, the status of VA appraising, and what is going on in D.C. behind the scenes.
