Untold Stories: Part 1
Sexual Assault in the 21st Century:

The Digital and Media Arts Discussion

Presented by A Long Walk Home
www.alongwalkhome.org

Free and open to the public
Registration requested

The Internet has increasingly become the hunting ground for sexual predators. Using new methods in art therapy and the digital arts – including photography, projection, video, Twitter, Facebook, and live feed – we will discuss how state-of-the-art technology can empower communities and individuals to prevent and heal from sexual violence.

Participants will have hands-on opportunities to:

  • Examine how technology is used as a hunting ground for sexual predators and to inflict sexual violence crimes.
  • Explore examples of college campaigns that use technology to combat violence.
  • Collaborate with others to create their own campaigns to combat sexual violence, and share their ideas with the group.

A Long Walk Home is a non-profit organization focused on sharing testimonies, poetry, music, dance, photography and video by survivors of sexual abuse and their allies in order to provide safe and entertaining forums through which the public can learn about healing from, and preventing, sexual violence.
