Technique (Knitting/Crochet)

Skill Level: Intermediate 

This is a unique approach to original garment design. It is inspiration to knitters and crocheters with an artistic and a fashionista perspective. Students are encouraged to bring unusual and unique elements in addition to a selection of fibers. This fiber fusion approach uses paper pattern templates and freeform needlework with an array of fibers and textures. Trend and fashion research is encouraged prior to class as well as a personal consultation with StevenBe via phone or email.

Students should bring:

1. Stash yarns and fibers you would like to incorporate. Choose a color palette when sorting your stash to make it cohesive.

2. A commercial cut and sew pattern that is close to your desired end result.

3. Unusual elements like wire or cassette tape or any continuous strand to use as "art" fiber in your creation.
