The World Trade Center Atlanta is hosting a Expatriation Seminar this October 19th, and would like to have you as a part of it.

$35 includes lunch and certification for 1.5 GPHR credit hours

This program is intended to discuss immigration needs, taxes, banking set-up, credit building, culture, language and orientation issues, and related destination services issues for expatriate employees assigned to the USA.

By the end of this seminar, participants will have reviewed and discussed the following issues and areas of importance in relation to international assignment and transfer of employees:

  • US immigration laws
  • Taxation of inbound execs (US vs. foreign, mitigation of double taxation (tax treaties and etc), info reporting, compliance and tax withholding
  • Understanding the main differences in the US Banking System compared to other countries; how to build credit in the US when you are coming as an expatriate, and how to speed up the process.
  • Understanding other relocation and destination issues that individuals face when arriving to the US as expatriates, and some ways to overcome them.

Speakers & Moderators:

  • Pierre Georges Bonnefil is an immigration lawyer for EPSTEIN BECKER GREEN, and is a Member of the Firm in the Immigration and Labor and Employment practices, in the firm's New York office. Mr. Bonnefil, who has served as an Attorney General Honors Attorney with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), has extensive experience representing both companies and individuals.
  • Gerald Zukauckas is a Certified Public Account (CPA) who specializes in providing international tax research, advisory, and compliance services for international individuals and for companies that assign US citizens abroad or foreign nationals to the US.
  • Ada Cepeda is an Officer and Expatriate Specialist at Fifth Third Bank since 2007 and specialized in expatriate banking.
  • James Munson is a CEO of the successful International Relocation Company "Munson International" and the President of the South African Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Board Member of the WTC Atlanta.
