Welcome to the 14th annual Sea Vee owner's tournament. This is ocean fishing with all of the excitement of competition and nice prizes, but the emphasis is about having a lot of fun.  There will be special trophies for top female and junior anglers. Celebrate the good life and join your friends as we serve up the great food and cold beverages at the world famous Monty's Raw Bar in beautiful South Beach. Come by land or sea.

 CATCH MORE FISH OFFICIAL RULES

REGISTRATION AND FEES - Entry fee is $395 per boat/team. Entry fee covers 4 anglers, 4 social bands, and 4 dinner tickets.There is no maximum number of anglers per team. Extra angler entries may be purchased for $50 per angler and includes 1 additional shirt, social band, and meal ticket. Each registered boat is eligible for general prizes.

NON-FISHING GUESTS - Social tickets may be purchased for non-fishing guests. The cost is $30 and includes a social band and a meal ticket.

TYPE OF TOURNAMENT - This is a Boat/Team Tournament. All fish must be entered for official weigh-in in the presence of a boat/team representative.

RULES - Unless otherwise stated, IGFA rules will apply throughout this tournament.

CAPTAIN'S MEETING - There will be a Captain's Meeting on Thursday April 12, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. at Monty’s - Miami Beach. At least one representative from each team must be present. All anglers are encouraged to attend. The rules of this tournament may be amended verbally or in writing at the time of the meeting. Anglers are responsible for being well informed of all rules.

ELIGIBLE FISH - Wahoo, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Tuna (not including bonito), and kingfish are the only species of fish eligible for cash prizes. All fish presented for weigh-in must be in fresh, edible condition and caught that tournament day. No mutilated fish (based on tournament committee's opinion) will be accepted. Minimum acceptable weight of 5 pounds is required for entry into the tournament. A maximum of 6 fish per boat/team may be weighed in. All participating anglers are urged to release those fish not to be entered into the tournament. The release of fish should be in keeping with the best conservation methods to ensure continued life.

SCORING - 1 point per pound will be given to each team for their eligible fish. All entries must be weighed at the certified scale at the official weigh-in location, Miami Beach Marina, and in the presence of the boat/team entering them. Any fish may be examined by any means necessary.

JUNIORS’ DIVISION SCORING - There is no minimum weight for the junior anglers’ division. Fish weighed-in for this division may also be weighed in for the overall division if they meet the 5 pound requirement.

COMMUNICATIONS - All participating boats should be equipped with a working VHF marine radio. The tournament committee will monitor VHF channel 82. Official times or special notifications will be announced during the tournament on this channel. Tournament updates will not be available on the radio. As a courtesy, the tournament committee will provide hourly updates as to reported catches. These updates are unofficial.

TOURNAMENT HOURS - The lines-in time is 7:30 a.m. Lines out at 3:30 p.m. Official time for both will be announced over VHF Channel 82. Fish being fought at lines out time must be announced over Channel 82 and weighed in no later than 5:00 p.m. The weigh  station will close at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday April 14, 2012.

START DETAILS - Boats can leave from any port. The official start will be at 7:30 a.m. and it will be announced on VHF Channel 82. The official time will be kept with the tournament director. It is urged that captains and anglers synchronize their watches with the director to avoid time issues. .

WEIGH-INS - Teams must return to the weigh-in BY BOAT and the boat may not be on a trailer or touch land at any point after “lines- in.” The weigh-station will close at 5:00 p.m. sharp. Teams not in line with their fish by 5:00 p.m. will not be weighed.

WEATHER CONDITIONS - In the event of unsafe weather conditions, the tournament committee may choose to postpone the tournament until a later date. Captains are ultimately responsible for their crew and should make the decision as to safe sea conditions.

BOUNDARIES - This is an open ocean tournament. There are no boundaries. If your team is fishing in foreign waters, you must abide by all foreign, local, and international laws.

PROTESTS - Any protests concerning the conduct of an angler or rules violations must be filed in writing with the tournament committee no later than 5:00 p.m. on the day of the alleged violation.

AWARDS - Tournament winners will be paid by check, which will be presented at the awards ceremony to be held at 6:00 p.m. at Monty’s Miami Beach.

TIES - In the event of a tie in weight, the winner will be determined by the earliest weigh-in time.

REFUNDS - No refunds will be given.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY - It is expressly understood that all participants in the Catch More Fish Tournament enter at their ownrisk and that Sea Vee Boats or Ocean Promotions & Events, LLC. their officers and directors and all persons connected directly or indirectly with the operations of the tournament, or any sponsor of the tournament shall be exempt from any liability for slander, loss, damage, negligence, harm, injury or death suffered by any requirement. participant, entrant, sport-fisherman or their companions, boat captains, mates, crew members, guests, vessels and equipment which may occur during the tournament.

SIGNING OF THE ENTRY FORM - By signing  the entry form (or online acknowledgement thereof) the angler agrees to follow the above tournament rules and that the tournament and/or it's sponsors may use without payment or restriction any photographs in which he or she appears for any purpose whatsoever but not limited to resale, advertising, commercial or promotional material. All anglers are required to sign their entry form  (or online acknowledgement thereof) as certification that they have read and agreed to abide by all rules and the above liability release.
