About the JWA:
The JWA is a long-standing institution in Hong Kong, born out of the need to help those in our community.
This year, the JWA celebrates its 71st year of service to the Hong Kong and Israeli communities focusing on the needs of women and children. We strongly believe in challenging ourselves, and the community around us, to make a difference in the lives of women and children who are in need.
Beneficiaries:
Our beneficiaries last year included Hayim Organization for children with cancer, One in Nine helping women cope with breast cancer, The Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation by funding a full time nurse in a low income area of Hong Kong, WIZO by refurbishing a bomb shelter in a shelter for battered women in Ashdod, and Nirim for supporting female youth at risk in Haifa, and ALMA helping young girls gain leadership skills.
