G’day Mate,
I'll be stuffed! 2016 is over. I guess I’ve been walkabout in the Outback for far too long hunting crocodiles. The new year is almost upon us and with it the arrival of spring, heralded by The Annual Evergreen Hospice Gala.
The hall will be organized as a tour of the country with offerings such as tastings of Australian wines, gaming (kangaroo races anyone?) trivia contests, and of course, dancing to our popular music from down under and beyond. We Australians know how to have fun, and we’re going to show you how we do it!
Sincerely,
Crocodile Dundee, Spokesperson for Australia and Evergreen

ABOUT AUSTRALIA
Australia is the only nation to occupy an entire continent. It is the flattest and (after Antarctica) driest of continents, yet it has extremes of climate and topography. There are rainforests and vast plains in the north, snowfields in the south east, desert in the centre and fertile croplands in the east, south and south west. About one third of the country lies in the tropics. Australia has a coastline of 36,735km. (From about-australia.com)
Australia is the world's sixth-largest country by total area.
For about 50,000 years before the first British settlement in the late 18th century, Australia was inhabited by indigenous Australians, who spoke languages classifiable into roughly 250 groups.
After the European discovery of the continent by Dutch explorers in 1606, Australia's eastern half was claimed by Great Britain in 1770 and initially settled through penal transportation to the colony of New South Wales from 26 January 1788. (From Wikipedia.org)
