As an event organizer, you want to be sure you have done as much as possible to provide a safe environment for young children, seniors, persons with disabilities and others.
A safety plan provides an opportunity for event organizers to consider possible risks and to pre-plan and prevent unsafe situations. This workshop will address the security considerations for community events and community safety, food safety, weather threats as well as other emergency planning topics. Participants will receive valuable planning tools to help them with their next event.
Facilitated by Diane Marshall, Oxford County Emergency Management Coordinator. Dianne will be joined by Amy Palvetic, Program Manager of Environmental Health from Southwestern Public Health who will speak to food safety at community/social events.
