Bounce Out the Stigma Basketball Camp 

This clinic is geared for children/teens ages 8-18 with epilepsy, siblings, friends and others who would like to learn about epilepsy. Kids with learning disabilities and slow motor skill development along with social interaction issues will do well in our nurturing camp environment. BounceOutTheStigma.org with Mike Simmel. There will be one volunteer for every five participants during the camp. If your child needs one-on-one assistance during camp, you must provide a familiar caregiver, so the child can participate.

"Mighty Mike", formerly of the Harlem Wizards for 13 years, knows of the battle with epilepsy personally. He  uses basketball to empower youth to Bounce Out The Stigma! The camp will be filled with skills, drills and thrills with the help of the University of Northern Iowa Men’s Basketball Team! 

We will be at the University of Northern Iowa at their Wellness & Recreation Center in Cedar Falls. Must register in advance to participate! The $25 registration fee per camper covers the clinic, lunch, a t-shirt & basketball! 

Register by Monday, July 10th to get an event T-shirt with your registration.

In addition to the registration online, we must collect the following forms:  Consent and Waiver. Please print/complete forms and mail by July 15th to the Epilepsy Foundation - Iowa Office at 1111 9th Street, Suite 370 in Des Moines, Iowa 50314. We need the parent/guardian original signature on both forms, as we are unable to accept scanned copies of signatures..
