This training will promote strength-based, youth-centered and trauma-informed responses to assist youth and adult advocates in the midst of difficult situations with parents and children.The interactive training features an afternoon seesion of mindfulness, yoga and movement in your work with children and families.
Megan Davis, from ZENwork Yoga from Northeast Ohio will share how this innovative non-profit partners with students, schools and parents to bring children to a place of belonging where they can access their sense of calm in the midst of difficult situations. Resources, activities and hand-outs will be made available to all participants. Please dress comfortably, bring a water bottle, yoga mat and/or blanket.

Cost: $20 for ODVN members and $30 for non- members
Continuing Education Credits: 5 CEUS Counselor and social worker provider numbers are #RSX040202 and #RCX120302. Please note that CEU credit hours will only be given for the hours you actually attend training. To get a complete certificate of attendance for all the offered hours, you must attend the entire training. There are no exceptions.
Refund Policy: A full refund will be given until the deadline Sept. 4, 2019. If you cancel your registration after the training or fail to attend, you or your agency will be responsible for the full registration fee. Participant substitutions are always welcome.

Dress: Please dress casually and comfortaby. Temperatures in training environments are unpredictable so please dress in layers.
Food and Materials: The host agency, Safe Havens of Ashland provide drinks and snacks. There will be a one hour lunch break. Participants will be provided with all hand-outs and training materials but may find it useful to bring a laptop, tablet, pen or paper.
