Impact of Safe Housing and Meaningful Access
Tuesday, August 9, 2022
2:00 p.m.- 3:30 p.m. (EST)
Join Tuesday's @ 2 to learn about the importance of accessible, safe housing for survivors and ODVN's Meaningful Access Project.
In order for survivors of domestic violence to have safe housing options, those options need to be accessible to all survivors. ODVN created the Meaningful Access project to focus on creating accessible services for survivors of domestic violence who belong to marginalized populations, including individuals who are limited English Proficient (LEP), Immigrants or Refugees, Deaf or Hard of Hearing (HoH) individuals, members of the LGBTQI+ community, Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC), and individuals with physical, mental, or cognitive disabilities.
Advocates, leaders, and administrators will join ODVN's Emily Kulow and Alayna Webb to learn about policies and strategies for improving the safety and accessibility of housing services for survivors and learn about the ways ODVN is collaborating with domestic violence programs to improve meaningful access across Ohio.
Trainers: Emily Kulow, Housing and Meaningful Access Director; Alayna Webb, Housing Coordinator
