Exploring the Intersections of                   Domestic Violence and HIV

Wednesday, June 1, 2022

1:00 p.m- 4:30 p.m. (EST)

Domestic Violence and HIV are both significant public health issues that are deserving of attention, but are overwhelmingly stigmatized. This virtual training will explore how these two important public health concerns intersect and the challenges faced by survivors who are living with HIV. Survivors of domestic violence already face great stigma for their experiences, but living with HIV often creates larger barriers as they navigate medical care, safe housing, and the legal system. Join us for this training, as presenters from Equitas Health and the National Network to End Domestic Violence address these considerations for domestic violence advocates and provide important information about providing trauma-informed, evidenced-based interventions for survivors living with HIV.
