Rural Hospital Symposium 

Join us for the upcoming symposium on April 29th in Abilene, TX. The event will feature expert speakers on the topics impacting hospitals in rural Texas.

Keynote Speaker: Alan Morgan, CEO of the National Rural Health Association

Recognized as among the top 100 most influential people in healthcare by Modern Healthcare Magazine, Alan Morhan has more than 27 years experience in health policy development at the state and federal level.

He previously worked for U.S. Congressman Dick Nichols and former Kansas Gov. Mike Hayden. Alan’s experience also includes tenures with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and the Heart Rhythm Society, where he established a D.C.-based government affairs office. Prior to joining NRHA, he served as a federal lobbyist for VHA Inc.

Alan’s health policy articles have been published in The American Journal of Clinical Medicine, The Journal of Rural HealthThe Journal of Cardiovascular ManagementThe Journal of Pacing and Clinical ElectrophysiologyCardiac Electrophysiology Review and Laboratory Medicine.

Morgan has also served as a contributing author for the publications "Policy & Politics in Nursing and Health Care" and "Rural Populations and Health."

Alan earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Kansas and a master’s degree in public administration from George Mason University.
