The Lehigh Valley Open is a USAW sanctioned weightlifting competition in historic downtown Bethlehem. This will be our 5th LVO and 10th meet in total! We've had over 700 unique athletes and almost 1000 total athletes attend our meets in the past 3.5 years. This event is open to youth, junior, senior, and master ages, and novice lifters. Join the Lehigh Valley Barbell Facebook page for updates regarding sponsors and prizes. Also check out our website for more details. There are no refunds, so please be sure you can attend.

This event is free for spectators. Our Facebook page will have a livestream and we will have a ton of food, as usual. Please come and cheer on your friends, family, and peers.

We reserve the right to close individual sessions and/ or change times of sessions as we deem necessary to run a successful meet.

Tentative schedule until registration is closed. This may change based on registrations.:

Saturday: All senior, youth, and junior, lifters. First session weigh in is at 7am but will be 8am if possible. Session order and timing is based on what is best for all of the lifters.

Sunday: All master and novice lifters. First session weigh in at 7am unless we can do 8am.

Clothing: An appropriate weightlifting competition outfit  is required. Here are the official guidelines: http://www.iwf.net/wp-content/uploads/downloads/2015/01/141231-IWF-Guideline-for-Outfit.pdf

Awards: Overall medals will be given to the top three lifters in each session. Youth lifers will be broken down into U13, 14-15, and 16-17. Overall top three medals will be given to masters, and to the novice session. We are prioritizing medals to the youth athletes because, well, they're youth athletes. Our goal as a local meet is to give you the most authentic weigihtlifting experience possible.

Weigh In: All youth athletes must weigh in their singlet as per the new rules. There will be no exceptions.
