Grant writing skills are a hot, in-demand skill. They are invaluable to anyone working in non-profits, community programs, government agencies, academic research, arts and environmental groups and even corporations seeking grants or government contracts. This ability is also a valuable skill for job seekers or volunteers serving in community based organizations.
This half-day grant writing workshop provides an introduction to the grant writing process including an overview of the essential administrative functions for grant acquisition, types of funding sources, cultivation of funders, the anatomy of a grant, and preparing a proposal paper.

PRESENTER: Lisa Perry-Wood is a principal in Clarity Consulting Partners, with over 25 years of grant writing and fundraising experience. Her client list has included small and large non-profits, government agencies, public and charter schools, providing grants and fundraising work in education, the arts, science, human services, social justice and other areas. Lisa has taught a 3-credit course in grant writing and fund development for local colleges and universities, as well as numerous workshops and classes for Associated Grant Makers in Boston. She was the founding president of the Massachusetts Chapter of the Grants Professionals Association. Lisa lives in Lexington, Massachusetts and is a certified yoga teacher/Ayurveda consultant.

Refunds are subject to a $10 cancellation fee.
Refunds are provided to workshop participants when they notify the Professional Development Collaborative 24 hours in advance of the workshop. Credit card charges and handling are subtracted from the amount refunded. A credit may also be applied to a future workshop in lieu of a refund.
