PSM Training - Technical 

In this PSM Technical Training Course, the attendee will gain the knowledge and skills to interpret the performance-based requirements of the OSHA PSM Regulation. The knowledge obtained in this course will allow the attendee to create, enhance and improve a PSM program, as well as become and effective contributor to a PSM Audit team.

Incorporating the perspective of both industry and regulatory compliance is essential to an effective PSM program.   Our lead engineer brings 30 years of industry experience plus five years as a compliance officer for OSHA. He has developed a curriculum with insight to both perspectives that will guide your company in developing a program to meet the requirements set by OSHA and EPA.  He is a frequent speaker at conferences and conducts training world-wide.  He is known for his engaging and interactive approach to training. During this training, the participant will be given case studies and work through a series of exercises.  The knowledge obtained in this course will allow the attendee to create, enhance and improve their PSM program.   • Determine how a facility is covered by OSHA's 29CFR1910.119 (PSM) and EPA's 40CFR68 (RMP)
  • Develop the understanding of each of the 14 PSM elements and the options available for compliance.

  • Review historical OSHA and EPA regulatory enforcement activities and interpretations from and OSHA PSM Compliance Specialist
  • Receive guidance from instructors who have not only implemented programs but have also conducted hundreds of compliance audits and refinery and chemical National Emphasis Inspections
  • Learn how to avoid costly citations and fines
  • Learn how to determine what is the appropriate Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering practices (RAGAGEP) that will apply to the various types of processes.
