Presenters will discuss the ever-increasing practical challenges presented by inmates with mental health issues, legal and ethical issues arising from situations involving mentally ill inmates, operational issues that arise in corrections in order to best prevent liability, how their particular organizations have addressed such challenges, and legal considerations of litigating against inmates who have mental health issues including, in particular, ethical considerations when an inmate plaintiff is pro se.
