In this 1 hour CLE presentation, Neal Carter, Principal Engineer at Luminous Forensics, will present on video analysis and animation. Mr. Carter will present a case study involving a fatal pedestrian crash which was captured by two different camera systems. The footage was analyzed and incorporated into a simulation to determine the movements of the vehicle and the pedestrian. Finally, animations were produced to show the view that the driver would have had prior to the pedestrian impact. This case study will cover topics including scene documentation techniques, video frame rate analysis, traffic signal timing, simulation, visibility testing, and animation development.
