TBE Women of Reform Judaism Plant a mini-Jewish Garden in time for Passover

What is the best antidote to a crazy world?
The peace and calm of a beautiful garden!

Come with us on Thursday, November 18th at 7:00 pm on a virtual visit to Rabbi Michael Birnholz’ Biblical Gardens in Temple Beth Shalom, Vero Beach.  Where else can you find a Chicken Soup Garden, a spiral-shaped Five Senses Garden, or a flower-shaped Pollinator Garden? The Rabbi’s showpiece is the garden that has all seven varieties of plants listed in Deuteronomy 8: wheat, barley, grapes, figs, pomegranates, dates, and olives.

Rabbi Birnholz holds the title of “Master Gardener” attained from the University of Florida’s program. Rabbi Birnholz is so knowledgeable and entertaining about tying everyday events, such as gardening, to Jewish values, culture, history, and celebration. He has a multitude of stories to share, as well as his gardens.

After the talk, you will get a chance to try out your green thumb by planting your own mini–Jewish Garden! The seeds that you plant will yield herbs that you will use for your Passover Seder.

All registered participants will receive a bag containing mini pots, potting soil, and seeds. You will be sent directions on how/when/where to pick up these bags after registration.

Cost is $10. Register now!
