CCT-USA 2016 Annual Convocation

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

On behalf of CCT’s Presidents, this letter invites you to the 2016 Annual Convocation of Christian Churches Together in the U.S.A., February 17 to 19. We will meet at the Hyatt Regency, Crystal City in Arlington, Va. The Convocation will begin at 2:00 pm EST on February 17 and close at noon on February 19.

The Annual Convocation of CCT is a special time of the year when we gather to celebrate our common faith in Christ and to deepen our resolve to better understand each other’s tradition. Next year, CCT will be celebrating its 10^th anniversary. We will focus our time together on the three main topics that we have addressed during this last 10 years: Racial justice, Hunger/Poverty and Evangelism.

Each communion/organization is invited to send their appointed representatives to the Annual Convocation. There is not a set limit to the size of each delegation. Given the singular opportunity to engage in dialogue with fellow Christians from all of the traditions in our country, we encourage each communion to send a substantial delegation. The Washington DC area is a centric region in which probably all of the communions have many churches and deployed staff.

Seminarian and young leaders are invited to participate free of charge on Thursday, February 18. They will be responsible for their travel and lodging expenses.

“Observers” (those representing non-participant organizations that are eligible to become Participants) and “Visitors” (representing themselves or organizations which are not eligible to become Participants) are also welcome. Communication or press staff from the churches or organizations is welcome.

Heads of communion and organizations are invited to gather together one day prior to the 2016 CCT Annual Convocation on February 16 to 17 at the Hyatt Regency, Crystal City. This gathering will begin at 1:00 pm EST on February 16 and close with lunch at noon on February 17.
