Baltimore Convention Center
NADRA Conference Room #301
The codes regulating the decking industry are changing. Common practices of the past will not survive the future, with both positive and negative outcomes. January 3 of next year, the 2015 International Residential Code proposals are due (a few months away). What changes or new codes will be proposed? How will they affect our industry? Will they be feasible this time? The lateral load anchor of the 2009 IRC, is challenged in impracticality only by the ledger bolting restrictions of the 2012 IRC. NADRA is working to change this pattern. To inject some deck industry sensibility to code modifications aimed our way. What are your thoughts? How will you help? NADRA wants you involved. Glenn Mathewson, Master Code Professional and ICC author, is working for our industry, through NADRA, and can't do it alone. 2013 will be a busy year for code. Come learn, share and compromise with your industry peers who, like you, wish to protect and secure our industry and enjoy it's fruits. Will you continue to follow behind any code given to you. Will you groan about what becomes, or will you help it become? We will be in room 301 from 12:30pm - 2:00pm to discuss a little code, a lot of decks, and the future ahead. All industry professionals are welcome; we're in this together.
