Speaker Biography

Dennis Weldon has management experience in various industries and functions.  He spent the early part of his career as a management consultant, serving clients in both the transportation and electric utility industries, where he helped them to develop and implement short and long range plans to improve their businesses.  Later in his career he moved into Information Technology.  With a Fortune 500 electric utility, he managed implementation of a new IT function and was also responsible for management of the company’s human resource and financial systems.  He attained a certification as Project Management Professional with the Project Management Institute.  He also earned a certification as a Senior Project Manager with IBM, where he managed several large IT system implementation projects supporting manufacturing.    As a senior manager with IBM, he worked with US and international clients to manage their IT functions.  He has a B.S degree in Aerospace Engineering and an MBA.
