A Call for the Somebody Cares network to rally in Baltimore
Currently we are seeing an acceleration of events in our nation and world that only transforming intervention from God can solve. We sense an urgency to more visibly and intentionally share the Gospel through SOMEBODY still CARES Gospel Outreaches in communities across the country. These will be times of intense prayer and compassion evangelism. We want to sow into the work that each of our local partners have been doing in your cities to see an exponential harvest in the days ahead. Our first stop will be Baltimore, where Somebody Cares Baltimore has been laboring in love for a city divided. (To learn more about the heart of Somebody Cares Baltimore watch this short video.)
I believe it is critical for the Somebody Cares network to come together corporately, sow into Baltimore by serving alongside Matt and his team and be a tangible expression of God’s love there.
As you know, the Somebody Cares network is based on relationship, first with God then with each other. That is why we are asking you to make a point to join us in Baltimore the weekend of August 3 – 5 to show them that Somebody Still Cares!
Friday, August 3rdwe will begin with a Somebody Cares Network Roundtable. It will be a time for us to gather, strengthen relationships, pray and share what God is doing in our communities.
Saturday, August 4thwill be a day of service at Somebody Cares Baltimore’s Day of Hope. To get a glimpse of what the Day of Hope is about, watch this short video.
Sunday, August 5thwe will join the community for a Peace Meal and time of worship during which I will be sharing the Gospel, at the request of Baltimore area pastors and leaders.
We are praying for transformation in individual lives and in the community. And we need you to join us!
The working schedule for the weekend is as follows:
