Zach Brown Virtual 5K for Angioma Alliance 

Zach is 12 and is living with a brainstem cavernous angioma. His was discovered when it bled in 2011.Currently the only treatment for angiomas is surgical removal. Not everyone is a good candidate for that, including Zach. It is my hope that with your support we can find a treatment and cure to help all people living with angiomas.

This is not virtual in the sense you won't really be walking, because you will. The "virtual" part is that anyone can join us from anywhere, by doing it on or around the same time. Angioma is a relatively rare medical condition to be diagnosed, and you may not know anyone else who even has one. Because we are spread out this fund raiser gives you a chance to do something with the people around you to support research and education . I am thinking of it as a " Where you are " fun run. I mean that both literally and metaphorically as I want Zach to learn to be happy " where he is" even though it may not be where he had planned. Some things can't be fixed or changed, and it is up to us to make the most out of what is.
