David joined Express Scripts in 2009, bringing more than 13 years of pharmacy experience with him. Before coming aboard, he served as director of pharmacy with WellCare Health Plans and as an operations manager and community pharmacist with Arrow Pharmacy.

Reducing Waste
While working as a pharmacy director for WellCare Health Plans, David identified and eliminated $350,000 in waste associated with specialty drugs for the health plan. “There is tremendous waste in healthcare and, in particular, in the pharmacy benefit. It is critical to reduce this waste, and I am passionate about helping clients in this regard,” explains David.
