June's Chapter Event:

CPSR Roundtable

Here's your opportunity to talk in an open forum with both experts and industry representatives who have navigated through the CPSR waters!

This month our seminar is a roundtable where the audience can interact with a 4-member panel of Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) consultants and industry managers who have participated in CPSRs. The panel will answer your questions related to topics such as:

  • The current environment within DCMA regarding CPSRs
  • How the DFARS business systems clauses are affecting CPSRs
  • What a contractor can do to prepare for a CPSR
  • Hot-button issues that come up during a CPSR
  • Other areas that come under review during a CPSR
  • Expectations of getting an approval of the purchasing system

In order to address as many topics as possible during this Q&A session, we would like participants to submit questions ahead of time. Please submit your questions for the panel no later than Friday, June 14 by sending e-mail to info@ncmabd.org.

The panel will consist of the following individuals:

Mark Hijar is the founder of ProcureLinx LLC, a small disadvantaged consulting firm that helps government contractors with procurement compliance issues. He has worked at every level of compliance in the government contracts industry, from Contracts Administrator to General Counsel, and has served as a Subject Matter Expert in Federal procurement compliance to some of the leading contractors in the industry including one Fortune 500 and two Fortune 100 companies.

Jessica Hatchette has supported a variety of Federal, State & Local Government agencies in addition to many commercial companies performing acquisition and contract management duties leveraging her 15 years in the industry. Most recently, she has focused her attention to specialize in CPSR compliance and was the SME on a procurement system designed for a $1.2 billion company. In May 2013, Jessica joined ProcureLinx LLC where she consults, develops training tools, supports software products, and presents training topics relevant to government contracting.

Marie Jatsko, CFCM is the current Director of Subcontracting and Procurement for Dell Services Federal Government. She has over 30 years of experience in subcontracting, having also worked at CSC, Northrop Grumman, DynCorp, KBR, and BAE Systems. Marie has participated in 11 CPSRs during her career. She is a founding member of the NCMA Battlefield-Dulles Chapter and has held various positions within NCMA.

Jeffery A. White, C.P.M. is the President and Executive Principal Consultant for J.A. White & Associates, Inc. Please join us at 8:00 AM for a 30-minute presentation from the University of Virginia School of Continuing & Professional Studies as they update us on their Certificate in Procurement & Contracts Management program and upcoming learning opportunities exclusively for chapter members.

Cost for the seminar is $35 and includes a hot breakfast and relevant handouts.
