Beginning Sewing Ages 8-13 

Kids love to sew.  We'll teach them how.  Beat the summer heat and spend July 26, 27, and 28 inside at the Ayden Renaissance Center. The $229 camp fee includes everything (even the new sewing machine)!  Really.  What a great way to instill the love of sewing in your child or grandchild.  Sewing will make you hungry, so bring a snack each day for our 12-4 PM sessions.

Overview:  For Kids Camp, Quilt Lizzy Ayden provides these: Sewing machines, thread and bobbins, scissors and cutting tools, pins, needles, irons, ironing boards, marking tools, project kits with fabric. In Session 1, campers will learn how to use a sewing machine, to sew seams and to make a pillowcase.  Session 2, campers will create a jellyroll quilted pillow with a split backing.   Session 3, campers will be making a snack bag with a buttonhole or a zipper. Moreover, all campers who stay the course will keep their new sewing machines to take home at the end of camp. 

Click the link below to register and receive your permission forms to finalize safety and parent contact information.  The 3-day class fee is $229, which includes all classroom materials (fabric, thread, patterns, directions) AND the cost of your own sewing machine to take home after you complete Kids Camp.  You can continue to sign up for other sessions, bringing your machine back as you build your sewing skills.
