Starting a Business Workshop

READY? SET. GO! Starting a business of your own is exciting but we bet you have lots of questions. If you are thinking of starting a business, or have just started one, this workshop is a perfect fit. Topics covered will include the fundamentals of getting started, business operation basics, business plans, and how to use and understand financial reports.

Workshop Presenter: Scott Hillis

Scott Hillis has extensive experience in supply chain management, inventory management and facilities management and a small business owner. Scott is a Certified SCORE Mentor and an enthusiastic advocate for small business owners here to help others avoid the mistakes that he made in his business career and to support their success.

Workshop Presenter: Brent Kostiw

Brent Kostiw is a business consultant and owns and operates the local UPS Store  franchise in the Marigold Center in SLO.  He has a BS in Management and an MS in Organization Development from Pepperdine University, is a certified member of the Society for Human Resources Management and has over 20 years experience in management, training, and organizational development. He is passionate about helping others enhance their learning, effectiveness and fulfillment in an ever- changing environment.  He helps clients realize opportunities, potential, and insight for sustained long term change.
