9 AM - 10 AM KEYNOTE: LIVING WITH AUTISM, A PARENT'S PERSPECTIVE Shirley Fett, Immediate Past President of The Autism Society San Diego and the parent of two adult boys with autism.

10 AM - 10:15 Break

10:15- 11:00 WAYS OF COMMUNICATING WITH YOUR STUDENTS Cathy Ball, Aqua Pros Swim School  Understanding the communication process for those with autism and how to communicate in the water.

11:00 - 12:00 SWIMMING SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES Tammy Anderson, Aqua Pros Swim School  Learn how to think out of the box when working with your students with autism..

1:00 - 2:00 BEHAVIORAL STRATIGIES Cathy Ball, Aqua Pros Swim School  How to implement positive behavioral management and reduce aggresive behaviors in your program.

2:00 - 3:00  AUTISM AND MORE Cathy Ball anad Tammy Anderson, Aqua Pros Swim School,                When working with students with autism, you may find that some students have a multiple diagnosis. We will give you tips and strategies to use while working with students with multiple diagnoses

3:00 - 3:15 BREAK

3:15 - 4:15 WHAT TO DO WHEN  Cathy Ball and Tammy Anderson, Aqua Pros Swim School, Gain useful tips on a variety of different situations including tantrums, aggresive behaviors, parents and more.

4:15 - 5:00 PUT YOUR NEW KNOWLEDGE TO THE TEST.Cathy Ball and Tammy Anderson, Aqua Pros  We will show short video clips of scenarios of a variety of instructional situations. Then we will discuss teaching strategies to use for each situation. In addition, we will have a final Q&A , so bring your questions.

 6:00-7:30 DINNER San Diego is well know for it's great Mexican food. Come and enjoy a special Mexican Fiesta. Margaritas and Coronas included!!

SATURDAY FEBUAURY 8th 2014

9AM – 10AM OTHER AQUATIC ACTIVITIES Tammy Anderson, Aqua Pros Swim School. find out how to implement other aquatic activities such a pool parties, surf camp and  more for your students with autism.

10:00 – 10:15 BREAK

10:15 – 11:00 AQUATIC EMERGENCIES WITH AUTISM Captain Ralph Carrasquillo, San Diego Fire Department. Learn what to do in a aquatic emergency.

11:00 – 12:00 GET THE FUNDING YOU NEED Shirley Fett, Tammy Anderson   Find ways to fund your program from grants to corporate sponsorship and fundraising.

12:00 – 1:00 LUNCH to be provided.

1:00 – 1:15 HOP ON THE SHUTTLE AND BRING YOUR SUIT. Transportation to Aqua Pros Swim School

1:30 – 3:30 IN WATER WORKSHOP It’s you chance to get in the water and work on the new skills you have learned. You will be able to work with some of our very special students as we guide you along the way.

3:30 Time to dry off and get your conference participation certificate.

4:00 HOP ON THE SHUTTLE BACK TO THE MARRIOTT Thanks for coming!

CONFERENCE FEES: 1st Participant $225, 2nd $175 and $125 each additional attendee from the same company
