Container Gardening with Master Gardener Merry Bogert
Have you moved into a smaller home with limited area for planting? Has your body developed “issues” that make bending or kneeling difficult? Or are you looking to provide “pops” of color on a patio or by an entryway? Planting in a container may be the answer. Container gardening has evolved from single pots filled with seasonal annuals to include trees, shrubs, vegetables, herbs, and perennials! The relatively recent development of elevated garden containers made from rot-resistant cedar has enabled the older or disabled gardener to grow ornamentals, fruits, vegetables, and lush flowers without the wear and tear of bending over or kneeling. We will explore all of these options.
