Course Description: This training explores deeper strategies for building on existing relationships with families, forging new or stronger links with schools, and connecting with community resources, agencies, and businesses. Discover approaches to relationship-building, troubleshooting common barriers, and useful strateiges to forge strong connections. Explore ways to build connections between stakeholders and strengthen the program's role as a center of the local community.

Objectives:

  • Describe research and best practices in family engagement
  • Understand the connection between family and community engagement and QRIS
  • Learn about the QRIS Strengthening Families Toolkit and the SF protective factors.
  • Determine strength and growth areas in your program for family and partner engagement
  • Create a plan to improve engagement in your program
