Cool Science Kid's Mini Fruitcake Toss 

It's the 5th Annual Cool Science Kid's Mini Fruitcake Toss. Inspired by the famous Manitou Springs Great Fruitcake Toss - think Punkin' Chunkin', but with fruitcakes- tiny fruitcakes, tiny catapults, lots of kids and LOTS of fun! 

Note: the format will be a little different than we've done in past years.  Instead of all kids competing at a scheduled time, you can drop in anytime between 10 and 3 to build and decorate your catapult, practice flinging all you want, then when you're ready compete for distance, accuracy and best decorated.  We'll record and post your results on our scoreboard (and our Facebook event page) and announce the winners at the end of the day.  Winners can stop by Imagination Celebration anytime after that to claim their prizes.

• Drop-in mini catapult building workshop (for kids K-6th) from 10am - 3pm. All materials and ammo provided for free by Cool Science.  ** volunteers still needed to help kids assemble catapults and measure tosses (email volunteer@coolscience.org) **
• Distance, accuracy and best-decorated competitions. Compete anytime and results will be posted throughout the day and on our Facebook page. Winners may collect their prizes at Imagination Celebration at the end of the day or anytime after.
• Open divisions (for K-8th, if we get enough registrations) for home or school-built catapults of any design (must fit inside 1'x1'x1' box; official fruitcake size: Approx. 2cm x 1.5cm x 1cm, weight 3-4 grams).
