Leadership is crucial to the success of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and necessary to inspire an inclusive and engaging workplace culture. In this uniquely designed, online, cohort training, Tangible Development will help executives, managers, and human resource professionals drive a DEI vision throughout the organization. Using Deloitte’s “Six Signature Traits of Inclusive Leadership,” Tangible Development’s subject matter experts will lead participants through three, 2-hour working sessions, building on the learning in each session.

Leaders will discover how to engage their organizations on issues of diversity and inclusion from a place of responsiveness, rather than reactivity and how to create an inclusive organization where everyone feels they belong.

Participants will leave the sessions with a guidebook for self reflection, goal setting and accountability to DEI workplan for both for their personal and professional life.

Key learning objectives include:

  • Understanding common diversity, equity, and inclusion language and how to develop a strong, action-oriented DEI mission and vision statement.
  • Developing self-awareness and emotional intelligence techniques to explore implicit bias and its connection to larger, structural DEI issues.
  • Utilize Deloitte's "Six Signature Traits of Inclusive Leadership" and guide participants through practical ways to apply traits to leadership style.
  • Developing the soft skills and emotional intelligence needed to work with diverse groups of people with diverse needs.
  • Blending the soft skills with administrative and strategy techniques needed to move the organization from a place of reactivity to being proactive in DEI issues.
  • Identifying where your organization is on the Diversity Readiness Continuum and how to move your company through the next steps toward a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.

This training also includes a recording of the The Road to Equity: How Leaders Can Move From Words to Action in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Work webinar (a savings of $100!). All registered attendees of the cohort training will receive a separate log in to view this recording.
