Women in Green Growth

GYou are kindly invited to an online round table event organised by the British Embassy in Rome in partnership with the STEAMiamoci, which aims to reduce the gender gap and support the importance of women in the STEAM sector (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics).

Achieving net zero requires the whole economy to change the way they operate, and this is why accelerating the greening of the global financial system and integrating gender equality in climate action are prerequisites to sustainable development. Speakers’ discussion will therefore focus on how these two aspects can come together to tackle climate change, and more generally on the efforts that women in the UK and Italy are already making to support the transition to a green, low-emission, and climate-resilient economy.

Kindly note that the working languages of the discussion will be Italian and English. Interpretation will be provided.

Maria Silvia Sacchi, Journalist, Corriere della Sera, will moderate the webinar.
