 Touch Tank Tuesday

Tuesday, September 16, 2014
10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Fred and Alice Stanback Coastal Education Center
Wrightsville Beach Historic Square

Ever wonder what a live shrimp, crab or whelk looks like? Find out in an interactive education session with our touch tank. This fun and interactive event takes place on the third Tuesday of each month from May to October from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Guests are invited to drop in at this time. Fish and shellfish are carefully collected and released each day, spending a short time in our touch tank. See and feel first-hand some of the amazing and interesting critters that call our local waters home.

You can register for the event below or in-person at the Coastal Education Center. Registration is not required. The event is $3 per person; $10 for families of 4 or more; children under 2 are free. All proceeds will benefit the federation's education programming. Event fees can be paid in-person at the Coastal Education Center on the day of the event or in advance. Touch Tank Tuesdays is recommended for all ages; an adult should accompany children under the age of 15. For more information, contact Ted Wilgis at tedw@nccoast.org or call 910.509.2838.
