The Narrative Apprenticeship Program (NAP) is an experiential-learning consultation program. A cohort of 9 “apprentices” meets monthly with NTI Director Stephen Gaddis to engage with and grow their understanding of narrative therapy in practice. NAP is designed for people seeking an intimate and supportive learning community where they can explore narrative ways of working in a relaxed environment. The "famous" NTI Breakfast is included. NTI's one-day "What Is Narrative Therapy?" training, or an equivalent, is required for registration.

The typical agenda for a NAP meeting is:

  • 9:00 - 10:30 -- Check-ins
  • 10:30 - 12:00 -- Narrative group discussions
  • 12:00 -- 1:00 -- Lunch
  • 1:00 -- 3:00 -- Live demonstrations and practice

This program is not limited to mental health practitioners. Interested participants should email NTI. Steve will follow up with a phone call to discuss whether the program is a good fit with your particular interests. NAP is limited to 9 participants, and often fills quickly, so sign up early.

Tuition: $1,925; a 10% discount is available if paid in full upon registration

  • A non-refundable $600 deposit is required at registration.
  • Payment plans are available upon request.
  • To discuss the deposit and payment plans, please email Darcey Surette.
