CREATIVE SHOW PROMOTIONS NEWS
An Affair on the Square Craft Fest & Vintage Fair
The 25th Annual Affair on the Square Craft Fest and Vintage Fair is all set for Sunday, August 13. Last year's drizzle still brought out a lot of shoppers so we're excited about what a nice day can bring!
Mrs. Claus' Closet Retires
After a lot of soul searching and much contemplation, I have decided not to continue with producing Mrs. Claus' Closet. With rising costs and falling attendance, it just didn't make good business sense to continue the show. I don't want to take money from artists if I don't think I can deliver the customers to justify it. Many thanks to the many artists and supporters who made it successful for over 40 years!
Christmas Around the World moves to Saturday only
Christmas Around the World is now a one day show – Saturday only. This will cut the cost of renting the venue and I will be able to pass that savings on to the artists. As with last year, I won't be able to confirm securing the high school until after school is out. Applications won't be available until then. But save the date of Saturday, November 18!
Uncorked Medina Wine Festival - a new venture!
I am excited to be working on bringing a large scale wine festival to Medina County. I'm working with Jeanne Hurt and Kelley Jones from Bloom Event Planning on Uncorked Medina Wine Festival scheduled for Friday, July 21 and Saturday, July 22 in the beautiful scenic surrounds of Buffalo Creek Retreat, one of the Medina County Parks. It will feature wine and microbrew tastings, culinary demos, stage entertainment, food trucks and a gourmet Twilight Dinner prepared by a local chef. We are also going to have a Marketplace of handmade crafts and gourmet specialty food items. If you are interested in learning more about being an exhibitor, please go to www.uncorkedmedina.com and click on “Sponsorships, Exhibitors and Volunteers.”
All the best for a successful year!
