February Pole Vault Clinics, 2019

Welcome to Shealy Athletics, Home of Rusty Shealy Pole Vault!

Our specialty is collaborating with coaches and athletes to develop the best pole vaulters possible.  We believe in learning by doing.  Clinic athletes are taken weekly through a series of highly successful and safe learning progressions, being taught by the best coaches worldwide.  We are experts at helping athletes to jump their highest, meeting the needs of each individual.  Put the odds in your favor by learning to vault safely and correctly.  Clinics are...

• Open to all ability levels from beginner to very experienced.
• Taught correctly from the start since bad habits are ingrained and difficult to change.
• Highly encouraged for anyone interested in being the best vaulter they can be.

POLICY: 

• Clinic dates/times must be obtained in advance via our online registration process, and are available first come, first serve.  
• Registrations must also be done for each subsequent month you are interested in attending, and may be done months in advance to secure your regular day(s) and time(s).  
• Once a clinic is full we will consider adding additional clinics for the best learning experience possible.

MONTHLY PRICING: 

• $160 per month for 1 day/week x 4 weeks.  Missed clinic credits only given when canceled by us.  No credits given for no shows.  However you are welcome to make up missed clinics at any time.
• $80 per month (half price) for each additional 1 day/week x 4 weeks.  
• Clinic fees are due the first clinic of the month with a $10 late fee after the 15th.  
• The first month will be prorated if starting middle of month, then monthly after that.  
• Second vaulter in the immediate family recieves 50% discount if attending same month as someone paying regular price.  
• There is never any cost for coaches and parents to attend, and it is encouraged to be better able to assist athletes during school practices and competitions.  
• “Private Clinics” are also available for beginners to advanced, at $120 per athlete/per clinic, or $90 per athlete/per clinic for multiple persons, and held at Shealy Athletics/Rusty Shealy Pole Vault in Columbia.

SCHEDULE:  First time participants must begin in the first clinic of the day for their first visit, to go over the basics and safety that I like to go over before others arrive, and then any other time after that.  If questions please contact Rusty.  Available days and times are...

• Sunday's:  11:00 AM-1:00 PM, -or- 1:15-3:15 PM, and 3:30-5:30 PM.  (We will add 5:45-7:45 PM in March/April/May.)
• Tuesday's:  4:30-6:30 PM, -or- 6:00-8:00 PM
• Thursday's:  4:30-6:30 PM, -or- 6:00-8:00 PM

About Us...

Rusty Shealy, Columbia, SC:  As Director of Shealy Athletics, Coach Shealy is referred to as "The Unfair Advantage".  Since 1998, he has coached 99 South Carolina High School State Champions, 11 National Champions and had 3 on "Team USA" the World Team.  He may be the only coach in the country to ever have four of his athletes acheive the rarity of jumping their age, since only a few people in the world do it each year.  One jumped 14' at 14 years of age, four have jumped 15' at 15 years old, two jumped 16' at 16 years old, and one 17' 1" at 17 years of age.  Rusty was a high school club coach of Sandi Morris the current American Record Holder, and Olympic Silver Medalist, with a personal record of 16' 4.75" (5.0m). As an NCAA coach at the University of South Carolina, Rusty coached seven Southeastern Conference scorers in two seasons, with one NCAA Indoor All-American female at 13' 6.25".
