Our tentative conference schedule at a glance (draft agenda - subject to change):
Join the Seattle Indian Health Board and the Urban Indian Health Institute at the 2017 Tribal and Urban Indian Health Conference at the Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort, near Seattle.
Day 1 (Tuesday, August 22) focuses on building relationships with Tribal, Urban, community and government partners.
Day 2 (Wednesday, August 23) focuses on leveraging data and partnerships for collaborative action.
An optional Summit on Urban Native Elder Health follows on days 3 and 4 (August 24-25), also presented at the Clearwater Resort (see below for details).
This year's conference expands our focus across the spectrum of the IHS, Tribal and Urban Indian Health Programs health care system as well as related partners. Day 1 will especially focus on IHS Region 10 and Day 2 will expand to a National focus. Attendees from all of the following areas are encouraged to join us:
Conference Registration Fee: $150 Payment is accepted by PayPal, credit card, check or pay at the door. Hotel Accommodations: A block of discounted rooms has been reserved at the Clearwater Resort. Rates range from $125-$195 + tax per night. Day 1 - What has been done: an overview of studies conducted and data collected on Native elder health & health care issues.
Day 2 - The unknowns: guiding a research process, coordinating data collection and establishing collaboration in research partnerships.
