The goal of Adaptive Schools is to develop collective identity and capacity as collaborators, inquirers and leaders.  How we perceive the world, our construction of meaning, and the choices we make are a reflection of who we believe we are, our identity.  Capacity refers to how many resources we can hold.  Adaptive solutions are about expanding capacity.  Collaborators are individuals with different resources working together as equals to produce a greater outcome than that possible through individual efforts.  Inquiry presumes an openness to and investment in the ideas of others.  To inquire is to ask, be curious, invite the transmission of thoughts or feelings, confer, consult, wonder, request, examine, and investigate ideas.  Leadership is a function, not a title.  In adaptive schools, every individual (students and adults) grows as a leader!
