"Controlling Expectations in Technical (and other) Organizations"

As an engineer, have you ever been in a situation where you were certain you knew what you had been asked to deliver and when you finally delivered it your manager told you that it was not quite what he or she expected?

As a manager, have you ever been in a situation where you have given instructions to a direct report and you were certain your instructions were understood only to have the deliverable be something other than you expected?

This happens too often in many organizations, and it costs time, dollars, schedule, and human energy. Getting expectations understood and clearly defined either within a team, across departments, or between vendor/contractor and customer can be a real challenge.

In this Group Coaching Teleseminar Cerri will give you concrete conversations you can have that will help with the process of clarifying expectations.  When this teleseminar is over you will have specific things you can say that in many cases, will clarify expectations for all parties involved whether you are an engineer or an engineering manager.
