Rebel Buddha Halifax

An evening of teachings, discussion and discovery around key questions of spiritual life, religion and culture with Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, author of forthcoming Rebel Buddha. Following Dzogchen Ponlop's remarks, a panel discussion moderated by Carolyn Gimian will feature Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, Scott Wellenbach (member of the Nalanda Translation Group, Nitartha Institute faculty member) and Mitra (senior teacher) Tyler Dewar (senior Nalandabodhi teacher and translator). For more information on Rebel Buddha, please visit www.rebelbuddha.com.

Throughout the evening, in different formats – teachings, music and video, contemplative exercises, discussion –  participants and panelists will explore the current state and the future of Western Buddhism, and the experience of the modern-day traveler on this road to freedom.

The Rebel Buddha book event is a unique opportunity to hear from some of the most compelling voices on the North American Buddhist scene and to join with them to explore and investigate key questions of spiritual life and meaning.
