Amy Lampert has converted her twenty-five years of experience on Wall Street into a passion for educating and advocating for financial literacy among consumers, especially women.  She has written frequently as a consumer advocate for individual investors and has consulted internationally on customer-centered business development strategies for financial services companies.  In 1998, Amy founded the not-for-profit Women’s Financial Network hoping to empower women through education.  After years of workshops and advising clients, it became clear that it was often old habits, self-talk, and emotional and psychological issues that stood in the way of financial wholeness.

From that realization came WomensWorth, (www.womensworth.com) a company with a mission to demystify the world of money and increase financial literacy among women and youth.  Amy is currently working on a book about the gap between what consumers think they are getting when seeking financial advice, and what they actually receive.  Amy lives in Brookline with her highly financially astute and responsible teenage son who has had his own debit card since the age of 8.

Marilyn Edelson, Financial Therapist, is a master certified coach, family therapist and entrepreneur, who specializes in working with women professionals, executives, business owners and family businesses. Voted Top 10 Coach by Women’s Business Boston in 2007 and 2009, she has been dedicated to empowering women throughout her career. She is a former managing director of eWomenNetwork, Boston Chapter, and speaks frequently to women’s organizations on issues such as effective goal-setting, networking, and women’s financial issues. When her former husband of 20+ years was laid off from a long-term position, never returning to a productive work life, she took charge of her own financial life and her hobby of studying finance and the psychology of money turned into a passion. . . to succeed in her own right, and help other women succeed. She is the proud mother of two lovely young adult daughters for whom being a positive role model for women’s empowerment has been a key factor in their healthy development as financially literate and self-sufficient women.
