You are invited to "Cria Fest".  Alpaca Ranch Tours and full line-up of fiber activites at Albia Yarn Shop.

Plan to arrive at the Albia Yarn Shop at 10 am.  We will divide into groups, some will go on the alpaca ranch tour while others start on fiber activities and then after lunch groups will switch.

All activities are FREE and include:

Fiber Needle Felting - We have a great variety of fiber to create your own needle felted tree ornament or magnet.    Instruction & all materials provided.

Weave a "mug rug"-Try our a rigid heddle loom and create your own "mug rug".  Instruction & materials provided.

Introduction to yarn dyeing-Try your hand at dyeing!  Great fun and you will create some sample skeins to take with you.  Instruction & materials provided.

BIG Needle knitting-these are HUGE needles!  Have fun trying out big needle knitting.  We will be creating a common piece.   PLEASE BRING a skein of yarn from your "stash" that you will donate toward this activity.  This can be the bottom of the barrel type yarn!

Weavettes-Try weaving on a hand-held weavette and create a bookmark.  These small looms are highly portable and present intriguing opportunities.  Instruction & materials provided.

THERE IS A BREAK IN THE SCHEDULE FOR LUNCH.  Time of lunch break depends on which group you are assigned to.  Lunch is on your own.
